About this bar
A one kilogram cast bar of 99.99% pure silver, poured and stamped by The Perth Mint in Western Australia. Cast bars are made by pouring molten silver directly into a mould, which gives each bar the slightly irregular surface and individual character that minted bars do not have. Every bar carries the Mint's swan logo, which is a London Bullion Market Association registered mark and a signal of international tradability.
The identification stamp was re-styled in May 2023. The swan logo is now considerably larger, and the weight and purity are stated in bigger lettering reading "1 KILO FINE SILVER 9999", so the bar's key details can be read at a glance.
Why a kilo cast bar
Cast bars carry a lower premium over spot than coins of the same silver weight, because there is no die work, no capsule and no legal tender status to pay for. For a stacker building weight rather than a collection, a kilo bar is one of the most cost-effective ways to hold physical silver, and it takes up far less space than the equivalent thirty-two ounces in individual coins.
Presentation
Supplied in the mint's own protective plastic packaging, which keeps the bar secure in transit and allows the stamp face to be read without unwrapping. The Perth Mint also issues these bars in sealed monster boxes of ten. Message us if you want a full box rather than singles.

The dimensions above are maximum manufacturing tolerances. All three cannot be at maximum on the same bar, so actual measurements vary slightly in order to meet the minimum gross weight.
What you receive
One Perth Mint 1 kilo silver cast bar, brand new and genuine Perth Mint product, in its original packaging. Bars are selected at random from mint stock and serial numbers are not chosen to order. Photographs are representative of the product you will receive.
Condition note
Cast bars are an investment product, not a collector item, and they are not made to a uniform cosmetic standard. Expect variation between bars in colour tone, surface texture and shape, along with pour lines, dimples and minor edge irregularities. These are normal characteristics of the casting process, are present on brand new bars straight from the mint, and are not grounds for a return. What is guaranteed is the metal: 99.99% purity and the stated minimum weight.
Postage
Dispatched from Perth, Western Australia. Given the value and the weight, every bar is sent tracked and signature on delivery, packed discreetly with no indication of contents. Orders placed before the daily cut-off are sent the same business day wherever possible.
